Amelia Ann Pennington

Amelia Ann Pennington, age 82 of Dresden, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Weakley County Nursing Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Bowlin Funeral Home beginning at 10:00am until service time at 12 noon with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery. Bro. Donald Doster will officiate the service. Amelia was born to the late Roy Hawks and Effie Mae Johnson in Latham, TN. She is survived by her lifetime companion Dewey Dilday; daughters Jo Anne Gallimore and Bobbie Jo Pennington; son Dagan Workman; brother David Hawks; sisters Betty Winstead and Sarah Jones; and great grandchildren Chase Wiseman and Paige Stephens. She is preceded in death by her son Joe Jr. Pennington; brothers John Hawks, Glenn Hawks, Frank Hawks, and Horton Hawks; and a grandchild Felicia Workman.
