Billy Carol Austin

Billy Carol Austin, age 75 of Dresden, passed away Wednesday November 9, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN. Visitation will be Saturday November 12th beginning at 11:00am until service time at 1:00pm at Bowlin Funeral Home with burial to follow at Martin Memorial Gardens in Martin, Tennessee.  Jerry Grimsley, Stan Watson and Allen Collins will officiate the service. Mr. Billy C. Austin was born July 19, 1947, in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Luther Gilbert and Lillie Lucille Cossey Austin.  On May 23, 1969, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Gentry, who survives.  He retired form Goodyear Tire and Rubber COmpany in Union City, Tennessee after working for 33 years.  He is survived by his wife Patricia Austin of Dresden, Tennessee; daughters, Angela Watson (Stan) of Martin, Tennessee and Aretha Hodges of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Robbie Jones of Savannah, Tennessee and Effie Franks (Bill) of Union City, Tennessee; brothers, James Austin of Savannah, Tennessee and John D. Austin of Savannah, Tennessee; and one grandchild, Lily Watson of Martin, Tennessee.  In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Junior Austin; and his sister, Jo Jones.
