Billy Edward Rice, I, age 78, of Greenfield, TN, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin, TN. Funeral services were Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with entombment following in Eastside Cemetery in Martin, TN.

Mr. Rice was born July 27, 1936 in Dyer County, TN to the late Raymond Edward and Mavle Elizabeth Spain Rice. He is a retired U. S. Army Veteran and also retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a member of Enochs Baptist Church in Newbern, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Jane Kilzer Rice, and two sisters.

Mr. Rice is survived by a son, Billy Edward Rice, II of Sharon, TN; four daughters, Julia Rouleau of Atwood, TN, Pamela Clark of Martin, TN, Becky King of Dresden, TN and Donna Sawyers of Greenfield, TN; 8 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
