Bonnie Lou Jones (Brundige)

Bonnie Lou Jones, age 79, of Dresden passed on Monday, July 23, 2018 at her home surrounded with love from her family. She served Dresden's students as an elementary cafeteria cook and high school cafeteria manager for over 30 years. She advised many concerning life's choices from her cafeteria office, her counter at the city pool, and her beloved front porch. She was a faithful member of the Dresden Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 66 years and at the time of her death was the longest serving member. The funeral service was held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Dresden Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 1:00 PM. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery. Ms. Bonnie is the mother of Mark (Kerri) Maddox of Dresden, TN, and Reverend Ricky (Bianca) Jones of Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Maddox; her daughter, Janet Leigh Maddox; two brothers, Richard Brundige and Ronnie Brundige and a sister, Sara Glenda Brundige. She is survived to carry on her memory by her sisters Janice (Kenneth) Gatewood of Dresden and Vickie (Bob) Cooley of Union City, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was born October 14, 1938 to the late Tom and Shug (Rhodes) Brundige. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to St. John's CDS in Martin, TN or the Dresden Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dresden, TN.
