Brad Childs

Brad Childs, 86 of Dresden, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, at his home. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 21, 2021, at 1 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Richie officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery near Latham. Visitation will be Monday, June 21, 2021, at Bowlin Funeral Home from 10 am until service time at 1 pm. Mr. Childs was born November 17, 1934 in Mantee, MS to the late John Robert and Erie O'fallon Ball Childs. He is survived by his wife Robbie June Carney Childs of Dresden, daughters Beth (Phil) Holloway of Sedalia, KY, and Lori (Shane) Wray of Pilot Oak, KY, grandchildren William, Brette, Shawna, and Lauren, and 5 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Childs was preceded in death by 2 brothers, and 1 grandchild Chris. He was a retired school teacher, deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Latham, Gideon, and a United States Army Veteran. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers and gifts, donations be made to the Gideons International in his memory.
