Brenda Tackett

Brenda Ruth Tackett, age 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee after a courageous battle with cancer.
Brenda was born in Tram, Kentucky on July 17, 1948 to the late Granis and Lilly Blair.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sherwood Tackett, two sons, Sherwood Tackett Jr., William (Amy) Tackett, seven grandchildren, Krista (Kyle “Lance”) Cranick, William “Buddy” (Cynthia) Tackett, Casey Tackett (Callie Crawford), Sherwood “Trey”Tackett III, Lydia Tackett (Trey Carrico), Noah Tackett, Matthew Tackett, great-grandchildren Everleigh Cranick, Colton Cranick, and a sister, Loretta Neal.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Granis and Lilly Blair, siblings, Bobby Adams, Bill (Sue) Blair, Doug (JoAnne) Blair, Virginia Blair and Darrel Blair.
Brenda was a homemaker who was dedicated to caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to travel. She was an active member of the church and dedicated her life to the Lord. She touched many lives with her generosity and willingness to serve others.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Eastside Cemetery in Martin, TN.  Visitation will be held Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Bowlin Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Monday from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am.
