Calvin Tillman Shobe

Calvin Tillman Shobe age 91 of Dresden, died December 7, 2021 at Weakley Co. Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 12/9/2021 in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery.  Ken Butterworth will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Wednesday, 12/8/2021 at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am.  Calvin Tillman Shobe was born December 3, 1930 to the late Roy S. Shobe and Bera (Tillman) Shobe in Dresden, TN.  He was a member of Dresden Church of Christ, Past Commander of Disabled American Veterans, member of Rural Letter Carriers Association, and a United States Marine Corp Veteran who served his country during the Korean Conflict.  He is survived by his wife, Methel (Nichols) Shobe of Dresden, two sons, Lynn (Donna) Shobe of Birmingham, AL., Mike (Patricia) Shobe of Dresden, one daughter, Cindy (Randy) Walker of Dresden, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Jere R. Shobe and his sister, Nancy Estelle Shanklin.
