Carl Stanley Fuqua

Carl Stanley Fuqua, 76 of Martin, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at his home. Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 2 pm at Sandy Branch Cemetery in Chestnut Glade. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday at Bowlin Funeral Home from 12 pm until 1:30 pm. Carl was a lifelong farmer and skilled craftsman and carpenter. Some of his greatest joys were attending his vegetable garden and brim fishing . He was also an avid coon hunter. He taught himself to play the guitar , and enjoyed picking and singing with family and friends. Carl was a Christian, sharing his faith and serving the Lord at Ruthville Baptist Church for over 20 years. Carl was born in Martin on December 24, 1949, to the late Carl S. and Emma Ruth Stricklin Fuqua. He is survived by his wife Myla Miller Fuqua,  a son Clint (Kelly) Fuqua, daughters Britney Fuqua and Chasidy King, daughter in law Michelle Fuqua, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jason Fuqua.
