Carl Alfred Walker

Mr. Carl Alfred Walker age 80 of Dresden, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Paris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services for Mr. Walker were held on Thursday, March 31 at 2:00 PM at the Matheny Grove Primitive Baptist Church with burial that followed in the Matheny Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Carl Alfred Walker was born on January 29, 1936 to the late Clarence Ivan Walker and Edna Mae Moak in Shelby County, TN. He was a construction worker for C & S Construction, a member of the Matheny Grove Primitive Baptist Church and served his country in the U. S. Army. He was the husband of Mrs. Mary Lee Lovelace Walker; the father of Mrs. Debra (Randall) Perkins; and the late Randy (Cindy) Walker. He is survived by one brother; Robert (Wanda) Walker of Clinton, KY. one sister; Miriam (Eddie) Hicks of Water Valley, KY. and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his seven brothers; David, Bill, Jim, Charles, George, Clyde and Lawrence Walker and his four sisters; Gladys Spencer, Muriel Shepherd, Janice Meecham, and Margaret Connor. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Matheny Grove Primitive Baptist Church c/o Ted Kelley at 624 Taylor Street Dresden, TN 38225.
