Carolyn May McAlister, 64, of Dresden, TN died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin, TN. Funeral services were Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden.
Carolyn was born in Ridgely, TN to the late Rex and Leila Mealer Ivy. She was a sales clerk at Bob's Pharmacy in Dresden, and a Baptist in faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Patrick McAlister, and a sister, Debbie Ogden.
Carolyn is survived by a son, Rickey (Beth) McAlister of Dresden; two daughters, Sherry (Lynn) Payne of Martin, and Christy Blassingame of Dresden; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Ted (Jo) Ivy of Ridgely, TN.
