Charlotte Watkins Jones (Grubbs)

Charlotte Marie Grubbs Watkins Jones, 82, of Palmersville, TN, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her home in Palmersville. Funeral services were Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Union Chapel Church of Christ near Palmersville with burial following in Morgan Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born July 19, 1931 in Palmersville, TN to the late Ruben and Estelle Puckett Grubbs. She was a retired school bus driver for the Weakley County School System and a retired factory worker at Bay-Bee Shoe Company. She was also a member of Union Chapel Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennie Watkins; a son Danny Ruben Watkins; and a grandson David Brian Smith.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, J. W. Jones of Palmersville; two daughters, Carol Ann (Gary) Smith of Dresden and Regena (Ronnie) Burrow of Columbia, TN; a step daughter, Glenda (Bob) Pitman of Mayfield, KY; two grandsons, Jamie Smith and Chris (Jessica) Burrow; two granddaughters, Ashlee Smith and Leann (Drew) Bergman; step grandson Evan Pitman; step granddaughter Heather Clymer; three great grandsons, Garison Smith, Gage Smith and John Carrizales; four great granddaughters, Maegan Smith, Isabella Smith, Gena Collins, and Rhea Lynn Collins; one step great grandson, Conner West; two step great granddaughters, Carrigan and Carley Clymer; a grandson adopted by love, Danny (Melissa) Coday; and a great granddaughter adopted by love, Madison Coday.
