Clarence Irvine Gallimore, Jr

Clarence Gallimore, Jr, age 92, of Dresden, died on Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19th, 2019 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, May 20th, 2019 at 11:00 am in Sunset Cemetery with Bro Rick Walker officiating.

Mr. Gallimore was born on April 22, 1927 in Dresden, TN to the late Clarence Irving and Onie Lee (Ellis) Gallimore.  After enlisting in the US Army and serving in World War II, he became a machinist and eventually moved back to Dresden.  Clarence was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and St. Jude Catholic Church.  He is fondly remembered for taking care of his late wife, Evelyn Gallimore, during her struggle with dementia and Dancer, his beloved special-needs fur baby.

Mr. Gallimore was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters, and wife.

Survivors include his daughters, Debbi Gallimore and Pam (Jim) Jensen, both of Palatine, IL; son, Ray (Trina) Gallimore, of Cary, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; and fur baby, Meow-Meow.
