February 10, 1939 — October 3, 2024
David Dean Hensley, age 85 of Dresden, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, at AHC Van Ayer nursing home. Friends and family may gather in West Union Cemetery at 1:00pm for graveside services Saturday, October 5, 2024. Visitation will be held at Bowlin Funeral Home beginning at 10:00am until 12:30pm. David was born in Brazil, TN, to the late Leonard Hensley and Ecil Arnold. David is survived by his sons David "Farmer" Hensley, James Hensley, and Michael "Buck" Hensley; daughters Shirley Hensley Vickers, Lisa Hogan, and Kay Houston; sister Betty Hilliard; 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Hensley; one infant son; brothers Robert Hensley, Allen Hensley, and Gary Hensley; sisters Willie Hensen and Martil Nance; and one great grandchild.
