Debra "Debbie" Jean Carter

Debbie Carter, 71 of Dresden, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at Select Medical in Jackson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday at Bowlin Funeral Home from 12 noon until service time at 2 pm. Debbie was born in Trezvant on May 24, 1953 to the late Howard and Peggy Jean Bartholomew Smith. She was an educational assistant and a substitute teacher along with being a homemaker and loving grandmother, she loved kids. She was a member of the Dresden Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband Ricky Carter, son Anthony (Dena) Carter, daughter Brandi (Brad) Heins, grandchildren Brady, Brock, and Brydon Heins, and Andrew (Amber) Carter and Landon Carter, and two great grandchildren Rhett  & Ryden Carter. Besides her parents , she was preceded in death by a brother Tony Smith. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in Memphis, TN
