Diana Faye Casey, age 75, of rural Dresden, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday,
September 10, 2024, at the Baptist Hospital in Union City, TN. She was surrounded
by her family. Diana was born on October 4, 1948 in Palmersville, TN. She was the
daughter of Harden Gobel Pollock and Betty McClure Pollock. She grew up the
youngest of 9 siblings, and she loved to be outside, play sports, and take care of
animals, especially one of her first dogs, Snowball.
Diana married Michael Lane Casey of Palmersville, TN. They settled in Dresden, TN
and were blessed with two boys, Michael Shane Casey and Darryl Lane Casey.
Eventually, Diana and Michael moved to Brentwood, TN, to serve as foster/house
parents to children at the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home. Shortly after moving,
Diana and Michael had a surprise with the birth of their daughter, Krissy Casey
Nobile.
While working at the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home, Diana followed her calling
of helping others and following the teachings of Jesus Christ. Diana also continued
to use her gifted voice to sing at churches across Tennessee. Diana was a gifted lyrists,
guitarist, and singer. Diana loved music—and music loved Diana. The love of it was
contagious for everyone fortunate enough to hear Diana sing. Diana also never lost
her love of animals—fiercely loving her dogs and cats until the very end. Diana’s dog,
Teddi, was with her in the hospital bed even after she was in hospice.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, her long-time husband, her siblings
Lorraine, Jo, Johnny, Jay, Gobel and Lerna May. Diana is survived by her sister Gail
Marie Gallimore; children Shane (Judy) Casey, Darryl (Lisa) Casey, and Krissy
(Danny) Nobile; and grandchildren Karmyn Casey, Hannah Casey, Sara Casey, Cade
Casey, Keenan Casey, Ivanka Nobile, and Bo Nobile.
The time has come for Diana to rest now and become the music, one with alpenglow. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 pm in Bowlin Funeral Home with burial to follow at Thompson Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the causes Diana cared the most about—the
