Don Shane "Blue" Winstead

Don Shane "Blue" Winstead, 53 of Dresden, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, at 1:00 pm in Bowlin Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday evening at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Saturday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Blue is survived by his wife, Sherry (Dunlap) Winstead, his son, Duke Winstead, his daughter, Emma Winstead, his sisters, Amber Kendall and Holly (Waylon) Hodge.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Don Roy and Cherry (King) Winstead and one nephew, Aydon River Hodge. Blue was a United States Army Veteran serving in Operation Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom.
