Donna Faye Winstead

Donna Faye Baldridge Winstead, 84, formerly of Dresden, passed away December 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be Friday, December 16, at 11 AM at Bowlin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 15, from 5 PM - 7 PM and on Friday from 10 AM until time of service. Ms. Winstead was born in Sharon on October 17, 1938, to the late Dexter Corbett Baldridge and Opal Valiere Moon Baldridge. She graduated from Sharon School in 1956 and obtained her bachelor's degree and master's degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She retired from Dresden Middle School in 2009 after teaching for over 40 years. She was a long-time, faithful member of Dresden First Baptist Church, where she served in many positions. Ms. Winstead is survived by her three children, Dan (Elaine) Winstead of Ooltewah, TN, Gail (Richard) Duggin of Gleason, TN, and Stephen (Melanie) Winstead of Ripley, TN; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Justin) Hullander, Danna Winstead, Thomas Winstead, Brittany (Sam) Owen, Rebecca (Nate) Cordray, Brady Duggin, and Emerson Winstead; and four great-grandchildren, Aidan Hoskins, Ansley Neely, Oliver Owen, and Nathan Owen. Ms. Donna also leaves behind her special caregivers; Angelia Carr, Kathy Petty, Mary Ann Jackson, Erika Dunning, Katie King, and Rhonda King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an older sister. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Alzheimer's Association.
