Doris Jean Crittendon (Hooten)

Doris Jean (Hooten) Crittendon, age 72, of Dresden TN, died November 2, 2018 at Milan General Hospital. She was born on April 9, 1946 in Tiptonville TN to Clayton and Gertrude L.(Douthit) Hooten. Doris was a homemaker, seamstress and factory worker and recently retired from MTD Products. She was a 35 year member of Cypress Creek Baptist Church. Doris was an avid Atlanta Braves fan - especially fond of Chipper Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Crittendon of Dresden; son, Darryl (Andi) Poiner, Jr of Martin; daughters, Carol J. Oliver of South Fulton and Ann Bowell of Dresden; sisters, Rosie (Jim) Jackson of Newark, AR and Faye Moore of Ridgley; four grandchildren: Jessica Mullins, Samantha Poiner, Amber VanMeter and Bailey Poiner; one great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Miller; and furry companion, Bandit. She was preceeded in death by her parents and sisters, Lois Hicks and Catherine McDonald.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Cypress Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at the church at 1:00 pm with Bro Harvel Baker officiating. Pallbearers will be Johnny Gurley, Richard Caksackkar, Terry Stephens, Ronal Rogers and Ronnie Armatys.

Interment will follow at Mack's Grove Cemetery, near Dresden.
