Doris Nan Nanney (Davis)

Mrs. Doris Nan Davis Nanney, 91, of Dresden died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden, TN.

Mrs. Nanney was born February 18, 1923 in Weakley County, TN to the late Lester Willis and Nannie Mae Moore Davis. She was an administrative secretary for county government for many years. She was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church. Mrs. Nanney was also preceded in death by her husband, William Clint Nanney, a daughter, Kathryn Freeman and sister, Mary Hart Jackson.

She is survived by sons; Charles (Rita) Nanney of Cordova, TN, Dr. James Michael (Terri) Nanney of Meridian, MS and Dr. Robert (Jeanie) Nanney of Dresden, daughters; Anne (Gary) Brewer of Dresden, Susan (Larry) Blakely of Murray, KY and Ruth (Jerry) Reid of Sharon, TN along with 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
