Doyle Mitchell ""Mitch"" Gatewood

Mr. Doyle Mitchell "Mitch" Gatewood, age 85, of Dresden, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Henry County Healthcare in Paris, TN. Funeral services for Mitch were Saturday at 1:00 pm at Dresden First Baptist Church with burial following in Sunset Cemetery. Mr. Gatewood was a self employed mechanic. He was a member and Deacon at Dresden First Baptist Church and a World War II Army Veteran stationed in Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Thompson Gatewood, son, Walter Lee Gatewood, his parents, Roosevelt "Buck" and Ollie B. Gatewood Gatewood and one brother, Curtis Gatewood. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Ann Kelley of Springville, TN, brothers, Ronald Gatewood of West Chicago, IL, Kenny Gatewood of Mokena, IL and Dennis Gatewood of Henderson, TN, one sister, Arlene Hill of Henderson, TN, three grandchildren, one step grandchild and nine great grandchildren.
