Elizabeth Cerrin Simmons

Elizabeth Simmons, 89 of Dresden, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 1 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in macks Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening at Bowlin Funeral Home from 4 pm until 7 pm, and again on Thursday from 12 pm until service time at 1 pm. Mrs. Simmons was born August 17, 1931, in Paris TN, to the late J.C. and Iva Matheny Powers. She is survived by one daughter Sherry Simmons of Cumberland City, TN, and sisters Fara Okeefe of Niles, IL, and Linda Graf of Franklin Park, IL. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Thomas Simmons, son John David Simmons, Brother Joe Powers, and a sister Martha Molina. She was a homemaker and attended the Open Doors Community Church in Paris, TN.
