Emma Jane Laws

Emma Jane Laws, born on October 30, 1933, in Palmersville, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on October 1, 2025, at Weakley County Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Emma lived a meaningful life, marked by her dedication to family and her community.

Emma was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her warmth and compassion. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Kim (Ray) Griffith, who was by her side throughout her later years. Emma's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Destiny Kinninmonth (Clayton Westbrook), Justin (Jenna) Dubruiel, Ashlee Dubruiel (Travis Moore), and Breanna Dubruiel, along with her six great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Ewing Rickman and Vivian Stephenson, her husband Bobby Laws,  her daughter Kathy (Dan) Williams, her sister Clara Ruth (John) Leo, and her granddaughter Stephanie Williams. These family members held a special place in Emma's heart and will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held in her honor on October 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home, located at 279 W Main St, Dresden, TN 38225. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 12:00 PM, with burial to follow in Morgan Cemetery in Palmersville, TN. Adam Barker will officiate the service, celebrating Emma's life and the impact she had on those around her.

Emma Jane Laws will be remembered for her loving spirit, the moments shared with family, and the indelible mark she left on their lives. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
