Finis Lee Ross

Mr. Finis Lee Ross, 91, of Dresden, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Weakley County Rehab & Nursing Center. Graveside services for Mr. Ross were Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Cemetery in Dresden with burial immediately following.

Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Lee Smith Ross. He was a member of Dresden First United Methodist Church and a World War II Army Veteran having participated in the D Day Invasion. He achieved the rank of Corporal and was a Bronze Star recipient. Mr. Ross was an Engineer with the EPA (Government).

Mr. Ross was born on December 29, 1921 in Dresden, TN to the late Henry and Bertha Cummings Ross.

He is survived by nephew, Bobby (Patsy) Mansfield of Martin, nieces; Sherry (Paul) Ross of Greenfield, TN, Judy (Tom) Cody of Paris, Maine and Jerry Sandwick of Ft. Myers, Florida. He was preceded by a sister, Adell Ross Mansfield, a brother, Robert Ross and nephews, Joe, Ross and Billy Mansfield.
