Fusae Kawaba Harper

Fusae Kawaba Harper, 82, of Dresden, died Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Dresden First United Methodist Church with burial following in Sunset Cemetery.

Mrs. Harper was born August 10, 1931 in Yokohama Japan to the late Mankichi and Matsu Sugeyama Kawaba . She was a member of the Dresden First United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. She married Roy D. Harper on June 15, 1951.

Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband, Roy D. Harper of Dresden, TN; a son, Dan (Kathie) Harper of Shreveport, LA; two daughters, Diann (Larry) Weathers of Cabot, AR and Linda (Mike) Hatchel of Martin, TN; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Takaaki Kawaba of Yokohama, Japan; and two sisters, Sonoko Torigae and Sadako Mesoda, both of Yokohama, Japan.
