Gene Dale Dortch

Funeral services for Gene Dale Dortch age 79 of Dresden will be held on Saturday, 11/7/2020 at 2:00 pm in Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Eastside Cemetery in Martin.  The family will receive friends at Bowlin Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 pm.  Bro. Don Bowlin will officiate the service.  Gene Dortch was born on July 10, 1941 to the late Cleatus and Annie Bell Summers Dortch in Martin, TN.  He was employed at Vowell and Sons Lumber Company for 39 years, he is survived by his sons, Ronnie Dortch, John Dortch, his daughter, Deanna Thornburg, his sister, Gloria Camp, 9 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teri Jean Dortch, his borther, James Dortch, his sisters, Bonnie Montell and Norma Fay Barron.  The Vowell and Son Crew have been requested to serve as honorary pallbearers for Mr. Gene Dortch.
