Geraldine Gatewood Austin, 98, of Palmersville, TN died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN. Funeral services for Mrs. Austin were Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am with burial following at Morgan Cemetery near Palmersville, TN.

Mrs. Austin was born on January 25, 1916 in Weakley County, TN to the late Genon and Gertie Gatewood. She was a housewife and farmer and a member of Union Chapel Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Dresden High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Buran Austin, one brother, Quinton Gatewood and sisters; Dossie Taylor, Dula Harper, Zeda Harper, Ollie B. Gatewood, Ada Capps and Nell Olds. She is survived by her sons; Glenn Allen (Tony) Austin of Paonia, Colorado, Harry Lynn Austin and Robert Dean "Bobby" (Pat) Austin of Palmersville, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
