Helen Garnette Melton Ford

Helen Garnette Parham Melton Ford, 99, went to be with her Lord on March 31, 2022. Mrs. Ford was born and raised in Dresden, TN. In 2007 she moved to Richmond, VA to be near her daughter, Judy. She moved physically but her heart never left Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Annie Mae Parham, her husband Harold “Nick” Ford, her daughter Pat Mount (Blaine deceased), grandsons Randy Penick and David Tuck (Vanna), sister Billie Jean Bullock (Richard deceased), brother Joe Parham (Hazel deceased and Dot deceased), nephew Ricky Parham and niece Kathy Bullock.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Tuck (Kenneth), three grandchildren Dennis Tuck, Deanna Fritch (Tony), Billy Mount (Ellen), ten great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and six nieces and nephews along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Most of all, Helen loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sometimes she didn’t understand His plan for her life but in good times and bad she always relied on Him. She was a special lady and will be missed by all.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden on Saturday May 14, 2022 at 1:00PM with interment at Sunset Cemetery to follow.
