Funeral services for Ms. Helen Nadine "Toni" Pritchett age 91 of Dresden were held on Friday, December 29, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church in Dresden at 11:00 AM with burial that followed in Sunset Cemetery. Helen Nadine "Toni" Pritchett was born September 28, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband; William Leo "Bill" Pritchett, she is survived by her sons; William "Bill" Pritchett Jr., Don Pritchett, her daughter; Peggy (Lynn) Crawford. her grandchildren; Paul Pritchett, John Pritchett, Mark Pritchett, Chase Crawford, Todd Crawford, Ryan Pritchett, Helen Pritchett, Hannah Pritchett and her great grandchildren; Reese Pritchett, Ellie Pritchett, Lexi Pritchett, Molly Pritchett, Griffin Pritchett, Reagan Crawford.
Helen Nadine Schaeffer Pritchett entered eternal life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Her spirit is carried on by her three children, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, whom she adored. She had one surviving brother and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life. She was born at home in Capleville, TN, on September 28, 1926, as the middle and only daughter of five sons. After graduating from Whitehaven High School, she attended Murray State University on a voice scholarship and met her husband, William L. Pritchett of Dresden. They married and moved to Knoxville, where her husband graduated from UT. They eventually moved to Dresden and, together, ran the Dresden Insurance Agency for over 35 years. Toni was active in the Dresden Methodist Church and was first soprano in the choir. She was also an accomplished duplicate bridge player and achieved the status of life master. She was director of two duplicate bridge clubs in West Tennessee. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Dresden First United Methodist Church.
