Horace L. Harper

Horace Lindsay Harper, age 91 of Dresden, TN, formerly of Jackson died Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Diversicare of Martin. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 28, 2024 at Bowlin Funeral Home at 12 pm. A private family only burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 am until service time at 12 pm. Horace was born to Greta (Lindsay) and Mack M. Harper of Jackson, TN. He was a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School and a Tennessee National Guard veteran. He had worked at Hall's Printing Company in Dresden and McCowett Mercer Printing Company in Jackson. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed cooking suppers for the members. Horace was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mack, sister Christine, former spouse Shelby Harper, and granddaughter Leah Wallace. He is survived by his partner Delois Shaw, sister Alta Thompson, sons Lindsay (Linda), Greg (Tracy), a daughter Anna Garrabrant, and grandchildren Merridith ( Ben Lowery), Ginny (Alvin) Yiu, Charlie Harper (Ciara Fangel), Stephan and Ryan Garrabrant, and great grandchildren Tristan Burgess and Alex and Izzy Yiu.  An online guestbook for the Harper family is available at www.bowlinfuneralhome.com
