Hugh Edward Brann, age 95, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026. A man devoted to his faith, his community, and his family, Hugh lived a life marked by generosity, friendship, and service to others. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Palmersville Baptist Church. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Hugh was born on January 3, 1931, to the late Clem Johnson Brann and Nellie Gray Brann. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, with assignments that included time in England and Italy. Following his military service, Hugh dedicated much of his working life to the Palmersville community as a mail carrier. His commitment and leadership eventually led him to serve as Postmaster, where he played a key role in the development and construction of the new Palmersville post office.cA longtime and faithful member of Palmersville Baptist Church, Hugh’s life reflected his deep commitment to his beliefs and his church family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Faith Brann. He is survived by his son, Jeff Brann, and his daughter, Julie Ragan.
