Ida Mae Boaz (Cook)

Ida Mae Cook Boaz, 97, of Dresden, TN died Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dresden. Graveside services were Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Grove Hill Cemetery near Dresden with burial immediately following.

Mrs. Boaz was born October 2, 1915 in Weakley County, TN to the late Willis and Minna Sherron Cook. She was a retired Kellwood Corp. and Bay-Bee Shoe Company employee, a farmer, and a member of Grove Hill Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Boaz; a son, Joe Boaz; a brother Marshall Cook; and two sisters, Mary Murdock and Betty Cook.

Mrs. Boaz is survived by two granddaughters, Paula Jarrard of Dresden and Christy (John) Lifsey of Martin; and four great-grandchildren.
