Irene Dildine Skelton Dilday

Irene Skelton Dilday age 92, left this world on September 2, 2023, at Weakley County Nursing Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Bowlin Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 10:00 am until service time at 2:00 pm with burial to follow in Eastside Cemetery in Martin, TN.  Bro. Steve Perry will officiate the service.  Irene was born on June 10, 1931, to Harvey and Myrtle (Forrester) Dildine.  Irene married Vernon Skelton on February 10, 1948, they had five children, Wanda (Dave) Gacke, Mike (Pam) Skelton, Shelby Jean (Frank) Walters, Debbie (Larry) Bradberry and Cindy Turnbow.  She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 37great- grandchildren, and 10 great-great children. She was preceded in death by her sweet husband Vernon Skelton, her sisters, Francis Robbins, Elizabeth "Tee" Lee, Sarah Lou Snyder and Zola Mae Dilday, her brothers, Rayford Dildine, Ben Dildine and Bill Dildine, her daughter Wanda, her granddaughters, Kim Walters and Faith Walters and a very sweet precious great grandchild.  She is survived by her husband Gilbert Dilday who she married on July 7, 2010, her loving family including her brother, Bob Dildine, her sisters Dean Morgan and Naomi Williams.
