Irene Webb

Lissie Irene Watts Webb, 93, of Camden, formerly of Dresden, TN, died Saturday June 15, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Plunk Funeral Home Chapel in Camden. Visitation at Plunk Funeral Home will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. On Wednesday June 19, 2013, Mrs. Webb's body will lie in state at the Southside Church of Christ in Dresden, TN from 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM. A graveside service will then be held at 1:30 PM at Sunset Cemetery in Dresden, TN with burial immediately following.

Mrs. Irene was born in Weakley County, TN on June 22, 1919 to the late Bud and Emily Jane McBee Watts. She was a founding member of the Southside Church of Christ in Dresden, helped run a family owned dairy farm until 1959, was a factory worker at Bay Bee Shoe Company and at Kellwood Manufacturing, and a devoted mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, B. F. Webb, Jr; sons Jimmy Webb and Sammie Webb; a daughter Patricia Brundige; and a brother Arville J. Watts.

She is survived by two sons, Buddie (Shelby) Webb of Camden, and Steve (Debbie) Webb of Michie, TN; a sister, Sylvia Mangrum of Dresden; a sister-in-law, Ione Watts of Grand Junction, CO; a daughter-in-law, Pat Webb of Paris, TN; a son-in-law Ronnie Brundige of Dresden; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
