J. S. Wooten

John S. Wooten, age 83, departed this life on July 2, 2012. He was born in Macon County, Tennessee and lived in Madison, Tennessee for many years. He and his wife moved to Dresden, Tennessee in 1972, where he was the Chevrolet dealer for several years. He also had a Chevrolet-Cadillac Dealership in Covington, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Thomas Wooten; his son, John Herbert Wooten; his parents John and Eva Jones Wooten; and several brothers and sisters. He was a faithful member of the Southside Church of Christ in Dresden. He was a loyal fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Wooten Highers; a sister, Marjorie Wooten; and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were Wednesday July 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Southside Church of Christ in Dresden with burial following in Little Zion Cemetery near Palmersville, Tennessee.
