Jack James Glisson

Jack James Glisson, 76, of Dresden, TN died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at his residence in Dresden, TN. Funeral services were Saturday September 8, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Hornbeak Cemetery near Greenfield, TN.
Jack was born April 8, 1936 in Obion County, TN to the late John Haywood and Mary Elizabeth Carroll Glisson. He was a retired U. S. Navy Chief Petty Officer. He attended Dresden Church of Christ. He was also the Principal of the Weakley County Vocational and Technical Center and later a Production Engineer at WLJT_TV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Beverly Dawn Riggins; a brother Robert Carroll Glisson; and three sisters Ella Blanche Stucky, Rosalyn Glisson, and Patty Plunk Robinson.
Jack is survived by his wife Retha A. Glisson of Dresden; two sons Dr. Jack "Buddy" Glisson, II, MD of Dresden, and John E. (Tracey) Glisson of Bradford; seven grandchildren, Damon, Kelly, Erica, Alex, Jamie, Parker and Paige; and one great grandson, Drake Harrison.
