James E. Gibbons

Mr. James E. Gibbons, 80, of Palmersville, TN died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at McKenzie Healthcare & Rehab Center. Funeral services for Mr. Gibbons was held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Martin Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Gibbons was born December 18, 1934 in Rutherford, TN to the late Richard Smith and Lellian Pearl Harrison Gibbons. He was a United State Army Veteran and a farmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Dixie Beall, Pearl Miles and Ruth Brundige and brothers; Daniel C. Gibbons, Paul Gibbons, Joe Gibbons, Wayne Gibbons, Hudson Gibbons, and Davis Woodrow Gibbons, Sr. He was also preceded by Kathy Esmon.

He is survived by his wife, Lora Jean Moore Gibbons of Palmersville, TN, daughters; Marsha Taylor of Holly Springs, MS and Lora Jane Gibbons of Palmersville, TN, sons; John and Paul Gibbons of Holly Springs, MS, 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sisters; Alice Jackson of Memphis and Justine Soro of Nesbitt, MS, brothers; Jere Gibbons of Austin Springs and Glenn Gibbons of Memphis and other family members, Scottie Rodgers of Faulkner, MS, Steve Rodgers of Dukedom, TN, Rod Hulsey and Richard Hulsey of Holly Springs, MS.
