James Howard Lawrence Jr.

Private graveside services for Mr. James Howard Lawrence Jr., age 81 of Martin, will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2020 in West Union Cemetery near Dresden at 2:00 pm with burial to follow.  Junior was born to the late James and Eugene (McDaniel) Lawrence.  He grew up in and around the Weakley County area.  He was married to the late Joyce Ann Taylor.  Junior was a retired machinist for H & O Tool & Die in Union City.  He had many hobbies including drawing, crafts and wood-working.  He loved taking rides all over West Tennessee, telling you where people lived and what he did there.  He loved to talk, whether it be to an audience at the Hearth Restaurant, Wal-mart or anywhere he was.  He never met a stranger.  He is survived by his two sons, Brian (Carrie) Lawrence, Justin (Melony) Lawrence.  Papa is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua (Sandy) Lawrence, Heather (Adam) Tolbert, Brianna, James, Stephanie (Lennie) Burton, Amanda (Pat) Myers, his great grandchildren, Hayden Lawrence, Logan Lawrence, Liam Tolbert, Macy Tolbert, Remi Burton and Walker Burton.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
