James Nathan Rushing, 76, of Dresden, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Derry Rogers, with burial following at Travis Chapel Cemetery.

Born in Pryorsburg, KY, to Elbert Jackson Rushing and Betty Jean McKinney, James dedicated many years of his life to a career in tool and die after earning his bachelor's degree. He was a beloved father to his son, Brad (Beth) Rushing, and daughter, Kim House; a devoted stepfather to Kenny (Sam) Presley; and a cherished brother to Jeannie (John) Ayers. He also leaves behind his loving sister-in-law, Gail Rogers, and eight grandchildren.

James is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Rushing, and his brother Jack (Donna) Rushing. His life was marked by dedication to his family and profession, and he will be warmly remembered by all who knew him.
