Jerry Dale Reid, 67, of Sharon, TN, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Reid were Friday, January 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery between Dresden and Greenfield. Bro. David Worley officiated. Pallbearers were Ben Rachels, Robert Scearce, Dr. Robert Nanney, Dr. Mike Nanney, Charles Nanney and Larry Blakely.

Jerry was born July 4, 1948 in Martin, TN to the late Duane and Eula Mae Johnson Reid. He was the former Weakley County Circuit Court Clerk where he served three terms from 1986 to 1998 and was also employed by the City of Dresden Public Works Department. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Wayne Reid.

Mr. Reid is survived by his wife, Ruth Nanney Reid, whom he married August 4, 1978; two daughters, Sara Reid (Ben) Rachels and Elizabeth Reid (Robert) Scearce both of Dresden and one son, Jeffrey Reid of Sharon. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
