Joan Kemp Foland

Joan Kemp Foland, 91 of Dresden, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 4 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Bowlin Funeral Home from 2 pm until 4 pm. Joan was born December 13, 1931 in Dresden to the late George Junius and Allie Coleman White. She was the former owner of Kemp's Jewelry and a member of the Dresden First United Methodist Church. Joan is survived by daughters Jo Robbin Buckley, Camille Kemp, and Christie (Richard) Baker, grandchildren Robert Buckley, Heather Ellis, Maurie McCain, Margo Litzer, Mary Jewels Wilkinson, great grandchildren Mason McCain, Walker McCain, Maci Jo Buckley, Blakeslee Litzer, Beckett Litzer, Buckley Ellis, Kennedy Ellis, and Israel Wilkinson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Jewell Kemp and Earl Foland, brother Junius White, sisters Marguerite Radford and Sue Billingsby, and son Tim Kemp. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dresden First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 105 Church St., Dresden, TN 38225.
