John William Cannon

John William Cannon, 83, of Martin, TN, died Wednesday March 4, 2015 at his home in Martin, TN. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunset Cemetery.

Mr. Cannon was born August 9, 1931 in Gleason, TN to the late William Jonah and Ruth Myrtle Blankenship Cannon. He was a retired U. S. Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sergeant having served in the Korean Conflict, and a retired maintenance mechanic with the Exxon Corporation. He was Baptist in faith. Mr. Cannon married Barbara Annette Reuter on July 2, 1992. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Lane Cannon; and two sisters, Wilma Millender and Nell Perry.

Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife Barbara Annette Reuter Cannon of Martin, TN; a daughter, Karen (Daniel) Bohman of Martin, TN; 2 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a brother, Joe Cannon of Gleason, TN.
