John Richard "Johnny" Oliver

John Richard "Johnny" Oliver age 77 of Gleason, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Hillview Community Living Center in Dresden.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.

Johnny was born on November 13, 1944, to the late TJ and Louise Oliver.  He was retired from Robinson and Belew in Sharon, TN.  He was former County Commisioner, former Exalted Ruler of Dresden Elks Lodge, former member of American Legion Post 94 in Dresden, Scottish Rite 32 degree Mason, and served in the United States Air Force.  He is survived by his wife Anita K. Oliver, son Jay (Claire) Oliver, stepdaughter Shelley (Monte) Bowers, stepdaughter Courtney (Scott) Baker, brother David (Beverly) Oliver, sister Sandra Ray, sister-in-law Marsha Oliver, sister-in-law Beth Oliver, three granddaughters, and two grandsons.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Oliver, son Jeff Oliver, brother Terry Oliver, brother Paul Oliver, and brother-in-law Larry Ray.
