Joretta Ellis Pierpoint

Joretta Ellis Pieroint, age 73, of Dresden, TN died Thursday December 29, 2011 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Big Sandy, TN.
Mrs. Pierpoint was born in Logan County, WV to the late Orville and Daphney Ferrell Elllis. She was a retired secretary for Quebecor World Printing Company and a member of Mt. Herman Methodist Church near Dresden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Boyd Henry Pierpoint and a brother Tom Ellis.
Mrs. Pierpoint is survived by two sons, Boyd Pierpoint, II of Jackson, TN and Scott Pierpoint of Pinson, TN; three daughters, Lesa Snider, Leanna Brown, and Lana Martin, all of Dresden; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Ted Ellis, Orville Ellis, Jr, and Danny Ellis all of Chapmanville WV; and six sisters, Anita Hagerty, Betty Thompson, Karen Couch and Lanis Mathis all of Chapmanville, WV, Della Peyton of Hurricane WV, and Lynn Yakin of Dresden, TN.
