Joseph Paul Sutton Jr., 87 of Jackson, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Weakley County Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Sunday March 19, 2023 at 2 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow Monday at 12 noon at the Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Sunday at Bowlin Funeral Home from 11 am until service time at 2 pm. Mr. Sutton was born in Warm Springs, VA on March 13, 1936 to the late Joseph Paul sr. and Jessie Sutton. He was retired from the State of Tennessee Extension Office, and was a member of the Forest Heights Methodist Church in Jackson, TN. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Parsley Sutton, sons Tim (Ann) Sutton of Sharon, and Tommy Sutton of Jackson, brother David (Susan) Sutton of Virginia, and sister Becky (Denny) Arthur of Virginia, 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Deloris Lucaro.
