Joy Jean Riggs

Joy Jean Matheny Riggs, age 77, of Dresden, TN died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin, TN. Funeral services were Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden, TN. Mrs. Riggs was born February 6, 1935 in Greenfield, TN to the late Robert Allen and Alice Evelyn Baker Matheny. She was married to Jerry Lee Riggs on November 28, 1952.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Lee Riggs of Dresden; a son Mike (Charlene) Riggs of Paris, TN; a daughter Rene` (Phil) Gilliam of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Zachary Gilliam, Stefanie Riggs, Katie Gilliam, Kailee Allen, Aubrey Riggs, and Seth Gilliam; and a great grandchild, Silas Gilliam; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Riggs; 2 brothers and a sister.
