Ms. Joyce Foster Riggs, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the Weakley County Nursing and Rehab Center in Dresden, TN. She was born on November 15, 1929, in Lyles, TN to the late W. A. White and Irene Morgan White. She was of Church of Christ faith. Ms. Riggs was a machine operator of 43 years for various manufacturing industries. She retired from Baybee Shoe Company of Dresden. Ms. Riggs enjoyed crafting and cooking for her family. She was an active member of the Dresden Senior Citizens Center for five years. She is survived by her son, Mike (Connie) Foster of Paris, TN; daughter, Gail (Steve) Tuck of Martin, TN; her grandchildren, Amy (Kevin) Smethwick of Palmersville, TN, Jamie (Amy) Tuck of Martin, TN, Dancil (Jennifer) Foster of Dresden, TN, and Heather (Mickey) Belyew of Big Sandy, TN; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her stepdaughter, Renee (Phil) Gilliam of Johnson City, TN; stepson Mike (Charlene) Riggs of Paris, TN; brother-in-law Gene (Beverly) Foster; five step-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; one niece and five nephews. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Foster; her husband of five years, Jerry Riggs; two sisters, Gladys Wright, and Doris Parham. Friends and family may join for a Graveside Service to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Martin Memorial Gardens in Martin, TN. Bro. Cory Sawyers will officiate.
