J.W. Owen

J. W. Owen, 87, of Dresden, TN died Wednesday October 24, 2012 at the Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dresden. Funeral services were Sunday October 28, 2012 at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 PM with burial following at Sunset Cemetery. Military honors were presented. Mr. Owen was the widower of Naomi "Amy" Owen. He is survived by 2 sons, Jerry (Karen) Owen of San Antonio, TX. and Jeff Owen, of Kingman, IN., and one daughter, Dorothy Jean Diedrick of Port Charlotte, FL. He is also survived by a sister, Lorene Miles of Paris, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. J.W. was a member of First Baptist Church in Dresden and a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran. He was born July 24, 1925 in Como, TN to the late Wiley and Lillie Paschal Owen. Donations may be made to the church of your choice in his memory.
