Kathy Ann Carrigan, 75, of Dresden, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Hillview Nursing Home after a courageous two-month battle with glioblastoma.

The family welcomes friends for visitation at Bowlin Funeral Home on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Bro. Mark Wilson. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, KY.

Born in Ashland, KY, Kathy was the beloved daughter of the late Homer George and Gloria Jean Dickerson. She was a dedicated homemaker before embarking on a successful 30-year career with State Farm.

Kathy had a passion for reading, teaching and genealogy, and was a devout Christian. 

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Jessica Ellegood, and her husband, Scott; her brother Tim Scott; her sisters Linda George and Cindy Wilson, alongside her husband Mark; and her cherished grandchildren Ashley Key, Damien Martin and his wife Amanda, Daphne Smith and her husband Jeff, Michael Ellegood and his wife Bethany, Chance Carrigan, Riese Ellegood, and Trinity Carrigan, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by her dear friend G.W. Moon and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Gregory Austin Carrigan and Michael Justin Carrigan, as well as her parents.

Kathy’s presence and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
