Kay Sharon Catron, born on July 19, 1946, in Kentland, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at Diversicare in Martin, Tennessee. A dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse, Kay devoted her professional life to caring for others. She proudly earned her associate's degree in nursing, which served as the foundation for a fulfilling career in the healthcare field.
Kay was not only known for her professionalism but also for her active commitment to her community. As a long-time member of the Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Greenfield, Tennessee, she found strength and solace in her faith, touching the lives of many through her kindness and warmth.
In her personal life, Kay found joy in her hobbies, particularly sewing and crocheting, which allowed her to express her creative spirit and contribute lovingly to her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children: Eric (Tiffany) Catron, Andrew (Tammy) Catron, William Catron, and Lori (Clark) Draper. Kay was a proud grandmother to Tyler Crawford, Cody Crawford, and Jeremy Catron, and embraced her role as a great-grandmother to two cherished great-grandchildren.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Jones and Lucille Ortner, and her beloved daughter Rebekah Catron.
To honor Kay’s life and legacy, visitation will be held on September 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home located at 279 W Main St, Dresden, TN 38225. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location, commencing at 2:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Lynn McCall. A burial will take place following the service at Sunset Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to remember her enduring spirit.
