Larry William Warden, 77, of Dresden, Tennessee died peacefully at home on February 1, 2025. He was
born in Huntington, West Virginia to Delmas & Ethel Warden. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 2 pm at Bowlin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Bowlin Funeral Home from 11 am until service time at 2 pm

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Dona G. Warden; brother, Michael Warden (Parkersburg, WV),
and his parents, Delmas & Ethel Warden. He is survived by: one brother, Stephen Warden (Maria) of
Sarasota, FL. His children Julie Spears (Alan Alewelt) of Hendersonville, TN, Amy Martin (Travis) of Bells,
TN, and Jon Warden (Misty) of Auburn, KY. His grandchildren Cole Spears (Florence, SC), Taylor Spears
(Lexington, KY), Kaitlyn West (Martin, TN), Clay Warden (Auburn, KY), Will Warden (Auburn, KY) and
Katherine West (Bells, TN); and step-grandchildren Brittany Brady (Christian Curtis) (Russellville, KY),
Alyssa Caudill (Bowling Green, KY), Alexis Colter (Tyler) (Russellville, KY), and Camden Martin (Bells, TN);
and great-grandchildren Brailey Curtis, Colton Curtis, Wrenley Reeder.

Larry was a decorated officer of the Army/National Guard. He retired December 31, 1993, as a
Lieutenant Colonel. He served two tours in Vietnam War and was the recipient of a Purple Heart,
Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Arms Forces Reserve Medal
with 10 Year Device, and numerous other military ribbons and awards.

After retiring from the military, he enjoyed many ventures in the agricultural society as a row crop
farmer on lands he owned and tended to, as well as working for others that row cropped farms. He also
served farmers at the TN Farmers Co-Op in Weakley County and as member of the Weakley County
Farm Service Agency Advisory Board.

Larry loved animals. He gave special attention to the cows and calves on the farms and to his dogs and
cats at home.
